Estimates tell us that there are over 65,000 storage units in
the State of Florida. Our listing of potential members from database
links indicate that over 130 separate companies are doing business
in Florida alone in the self-contained storage unit industry!
We know that in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew our industry
was invaluable by offering aid and units to the South Florida
area. And, even in times when there aren't disasters, many schools,
churches, military, fire and police organizations require our
storage units to handle their temporary needs.
Construction is a major driving force in Florida and our industry
does it's part helping Florida grow too! We provide temporary
job site storage units as well as mobile office/storage combination
units to many construction sites.

The mobile Self-Contained unit is identified in
Florida Statutes (SELF-SERVICE STORAGE SPACE)
(click on the red to see the specific chapter)
under the landlord/tenant section of code. Trailers are already
manufactured to Department of Transportation requirements are
all units are licensed by the State for use on our highway system.
As such annual road taxes and property taxes are paid on each
unit. We are indeed productive and valuable to the citizens
of Florida.

Each year the retail sector of the state uses thousands of
units for their temporary seasonal sale requirements. This usage
drives many local economies and brings more local jobs and taxes
to each city in the State. Slowly but surely local planners
are finding our units are not only necessary but can offer an
attractive way for other businesses to grow without having to
fund huge building costs up front. This method allows the business
to grow and securely establish itself before having to build
further construction in our beautiful state. The analogy is
similar to portable classrooms for our schools. There use make
sense for our customers and our communities!
